I have the enormous privilege of sharing with you from the Scriptures at this year’s TBBF women’s retreat and was asked by the retreat committee to give you a bit of a preview. I’m really excited about the time we’ll have together and am praying God will use it to impact each of our lives for eternity and draw us into a closer relationship with Him than we’ve ever known before!

 

I have been asked to teach on “Intimacy with Christ.” I think it’s the longing of each one of us to REALLY know our God, to know His heart, to walk closely with Him, but how? And what priority do we actually place on knowing Christ? Can we genuinely say with the apostle Paul that we count ALL things loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus our Lord? (Phil. 3:8)

 

• What do you think of when you read those words, “intimacy with Christ”?
• Is it an experience or is it something objective?
• Would you describe your own relationship with your Savior as “intimate”? If so, why? If not, why not?
• Does God’s Word have anything to say on this topic and if so, what?
• How can you and I know Jesus more intimately and what would that look like in our lives, practically?

 

We’re going to be looking at these questions and much more at our upcoming retreat! We’re going to talk about cultivating a deep, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, about KNOWING HIM! We’ll be looking at various aspects of what it means to know Jesus and ways to know Him better. In the weeks to come, I’ll also give you some passages to read as you ask the Lord to prepare your heart for the weekend.

 

This year’s women’s retreat is only 6 weeks away! Please join us April 20-22 at The Oaks Christian Conference Center!  The conference center provides a great opportunity to enjoy God’s creation and fellowship with sisters in Christ, but most importantly, it’s a time to be challenged through God’s Word in order to KNOW Him and bring Him greater glory!
