So, you (like myself) have determined to make the school year of 2012-2013 one that will be different from many in the past. The Lord has placed 3-5 specific family, friends and co-workers on your heart and you have already begun to pray for the Lord to soften their hearts, convict them of their sin, draw them to Himself and make them receptive to the gospel.

God has begun to use your own prayers to motivate you to step out in faith when the time is right. God has reminded you that He has chosen and appointed you to bear much fruit (John 15:7, 16; Mt 13:23) as you daily choose to abide in Christ (united in mind and purpose, intimate in relationship, dependent upon His power and provision, John 15:4-7).

Are you looking for tools or vehicles that may help you to share the gospel truth with those God has placed on your heart? Well, starting this week, I would like to list various options that will be happening this fall that may assist your efforts to proclaim the message of Jesus.

The first option you can consider is the 2nd Annual Los Angeles Harvest @ Dodger Stadium. Greg Laurie, the founder of Harvest Crusades, will again be the primary speaker both nights. Laurie mentioned that at last year’s one night Crusade in Los Angeles more people came forward to make a profession of faith than in any other stadium crusade their ministry has sponsored in over 22 years. Over 500 people were not allowed onto the field by the stadium’s security, because they were concerned for the safety of those already on the field.

We will be joining over 420 other churches from the Greater Los Angeles area in asking the Lord to move in the hearts of those in our city. Who on your prayer list will you invite and then commit to bring with you, along with others from your small group and/or Sunday School class?

The cost for this event is free and the stadium charges either $15 (car) or $35 (bus) for parking. Translation will be available each night for sign, Spanish and Korean.
