Dear church body,

YSA has finished two volumes of A. W. Tozer’s Attributes of God.  The last two chapters, God’s Faithfulness and God’s Love were excellent.  This has been a rich study and I would highly recommend to all who have not meditated or spent much time thinking about the attributes of God lately, please spend some time re-visiting the awesome, perfect, infinite attributes of God once again; you’ll be blessed.  Our view of God is critical to our spiritual growth.  If we have a small view of God, our faith will be small.  If we have a deep understanding of who God is, we will have a deeper, richer more fulfilling relationship with Him.

Now that we are completed with the attributes of God study, YSA will be taking a look at:

  1. Biblical Decision Making:   We all make decisions regularly.  The choices we make are important, some critical to the outcome of our lives.  How do you make decisions Biblically?
  2. Biblical Conflict Resolution:  We have all experienced conflicts.  If conflicts are not handled correctly, they can have negative long term effects.  So how do we resolve conflicts Biblically?

We’ll explore these two areas (Biblical decision making and conflict resolution) in July.  We meet the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month at 7:15PM in the K building on the church campus.  Visitors are welcome to join us.

What’s next?  Now that our YSA group has a deeper understand of God and His attributes, we want to pursue our spiritual grow in Him.  In an effort to do that, we will be going through Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life by Donald S. Whitney.  Please keep your YSA brothers and sisters in your prayers as we pursue a deeper relationship with God through this study.

P.S.  I have some extra copies of Tozer’s Attributes of God, if anyone would like to borrow a book please contact me at michaellvos@gmail.com or 805-889-7220.
